Term 2 week 5

This week we have been doing lots of art. I finished my water colour art and my clay jandal. My water colour art is a bunch of icons that mean something to you. We started off by planning your art on news print then do it for real on like A2 paper. Mine started off with a L&P bottle, then an outline of a mountain inside the L&P bottle. A kiwi inside the mountain eating a pie a Kowhai flower next to the pie and a chocolate fish and hokey pokey ice cream outside of the mountain. It looked really cool. My jandal was really cool too, we made them out of clay then we got them fired to make them hard. Then we got them glazed, and fired then double glazed. My glaze was blue. Then the last step was too bead them which was pretty much making the strap except we used beads and wire to make it colourful and cool. That's all for this week, see ya folks (-:              

term 2 week four

This week we have been doing lots of maths, reading, and writing. I am up to date with maths, and have finished this weeks work already! I finished reading last Friday when it was due, and have finished this weeks work already. My writing is due to weeks from now and all I need to do is edit it! So I am pretty happy with where my school work is going. Now something about sport. We were supposed to have table tennis yesterday for Belmont but miss Davidson was late getting back from the museum. So we had it today. I made it into the team as 1st seed as well as Bradley at 2nd and Tawhiri at 3rd. Although I reckon Tawhiri is better at table tennis than Bradley. That's all for today folks. See ya (-: 

term 2 week 3

We had band camp about a week ago and it was really cool. it was two days of fun then after school you had about an hour, probably more, of free time. During the day there was no school work at all, while instead we did music practice to play in a concert that was really fun. The first day all of what would have been class time was spent getting used to our concert song. I had probably the hardest song to learn which was lets rock. After that it was lunchtime and we had about forty five minutes of free time. I played soccer. The next day went a bit like the first except after school we had more free time and there was a concert at 7:00. I really enjoyed performing and I did better than I thought I would. I had a great time, and I recommend it to you that is all from me for now though. Seeya (-:  

Term 2 Week One

This week we had tech arts. For tech arts we had art and last term we had music. I enjoyed music. my favourite part of music was the dance at the end of music. last term we learnt lots of stuff. We tried out playing Instruments like key board 
Drums and Guitar. I learnt lots about key board, but nothing about Drums, because it was so easy and I already play the drums. Then in Term 2 we were off to Art. First we did clay work and made a single clay jandal. Then under, and over glazed it, except I was ahead so I did 2. Then we were onto drawing art. Which has been my favourite part so far. I am proud of my effort, and the work of art I have made so far and it can only get better. We have also just made the finishing touches to our shine wall. do you like it? See you soon.

Camp Wellington

Sunday: I wake up pack my bus bag and are ready to go so I yell out, come on mum we need to get going. I'm excited not for the eight our bus ride! but for when we finally got there, I had no idea what to expect. They said there was a jumping matt so I thought something the size of a trampoline just lower to the ground but instead it was probably ten metres long and three metres wide. When we got there you would never guess this, I hopped straight on, it was really fun. We had about one hour of free time then it was dinner. After dinner we played cards and went to bed.

Monday: I started the day with a game of cards with Bert then went had breakfast and packed my lunch ready for another day of fun. The first activity was Zealandia, it wasn't my favourite place but it was a pretty cool experience and there was lots of pretty cool animals there to see. Next stop was Te Papa and it would have been cool if we had more time and if Hayden and Cheng-Yu didn't want  to move on every ten seconds. Then it was national library which I didn't really like partly because I had really saw legs and we were mostly standing and partly because I found it boring. Then it was onto the pools I had been waiting for this all day and it did not let me down. It turned out to be one of my highlights and I had a great time. after that it was jumping matt dinner then bed.

Tuesday: Again I started the day with a game of cards with Bert and won for the fourth time on camp. We had breakfast then hit the road to carter observatory where we watched a cool video, where the video was on the domed roof above us. I enjoyed the video, then we were off to the cable cars it was pretty much just a really slow ride down a hill. Then we hopped off and walked to parliament there was lots of security there was even a metal detector like in the airport when you go through customs. We went and watched all the members of parliament argue. while one person was making a speech there was jeers and all sorts from the rest of them, while others couldn't care less and were playing candy crush on their phone. after that we went and made a movie at capital e if you want to see it is underneath this post I really enjoyed it, I was vision mixer.

Wednesday: For the third time this week I started the day with a game of cards which I won, again Then we headed off to Wellington Zoo which was pretty cool and I enjoyed it. We saw everything from chimpanzee's to penguins which was probably my favourite animal at the zoo. after that I also got some really cool souvenirs like a little puppet penguin and a snap band. then it was off to snorkelling which was tied for first on my list. I didn't want to get into the water at first because it was too cold but I got used to it and ended up having a great time seeing decent sized fish up to fifty centimetres long with great colourful colours. Then we went to an aquarium we had a great time, I saw a seahorse and held all sorts of starfish related stuff and an octopus squirted Mrs Crowe in the face, nobody will ever forget that.


Thursday: On Thursday we went to the holocaust centre and I found that really boring and that was my least favourite activity and if you happen to know me you would know I don't appreciate sitting and listening. Next it was Museum of Wellington where I think they had a good idea by teaching us about something by letting us re-enact it which I think is much better than sitting and listening you'll win my favour every time like that. Then we went to media lab and made our own apps and once I got the hang of it I thought it was pretty cool I made an app where you pat the kitty and it meows, an app where you can draw with six different colours installed and a fortune teller app. 


Friday: On Friday we woke up at six and started on the eight hour trip home stopping half way for a yummy lunch I had a pie a fizzy and a slice. When we got back I was tired but would have done it all again if I had the chance.

Term 1 Week 7

Camp. when you hear the word camp what do you think? I think rock climbing out-doorsy stuff and lots of mud, water, and team activities. But noooo! Its all beehive and parliament and walking around and looking at stuff! going on long drives to places far far away and for your information I hate long drives so yeah. I am not sure what I will think about it so I am bound to like it.

 

Term 1 Week 6

At school we have been doing lots of stuff, as always. In maths I learnt all about order of operations and how you do BEDMAS. Bedmas is an acronym for brackets, exponents, division, multiplication, addition and subtraction all that applies to order of operations. So if you ever get stuck follow that and you'll be fine. We have been given a task to do a report on Gallipoli and I found out what Anzac means, and it also is an acronym for Australia and New Zealand army corps. And they fought in Gallipoli bravely but were walking into an ambush.      

Term 1 week 5

These past few weeks I have been doing lots of stuff in and out of the classroom. In the classroom we have been doing lots of tests aaand going over test results, aaaand doing maths maths maths maths maths! I did very well with my tests because about half of my results were stanine nines which are the highest stanine you can get. The stuff we have been doing outside the classroom is swim sport and school swimming also soft ball has been a huge success we haven't lost a game yet.

Term 1 Week 4

This week I have been doing lots of band stuff like getting introduced to the programme and seeing what sort of stuff you do for jobs and helping out. and if you forget your gear then you have to spend Friday lunchtime in the reflection room, I don't want to forget my gear! I also did lots of tests and got high stanines like eights and nines I got a stanine nine for maths and a stanine eight for reading comprehension. We did a maths test at the start of the year to put us into groups and we have been working on the stuff we got wrong, since then I have done lots of the work in that area. 

my reflection-week 2 term1

These first few weeks have been really fun. I have been doing lots of stuff like Tech Arts for Tech Arts I learnt about music signs like Semibreves minims crotchets and quavers. Semibreves are 4 counts a minim is 2 counts a crotchet is one count and a quaver is a 1/2 count. I learnt about the rules and codes for Te Awamutu intermediate like there is a kids door for the kids and they cant go through the other doors unless the teacher tells them to go through the other doors. I learnt about face value place value and total value so if the number was 34,567 the total value of the three is 30,000 the place value of the 5 is hundreds and the face value of the 4 IS 4. We do lots if stuff on computers like Most of our writing and we do Blogs and all sorts of stuff computer related, I like being in room 3. We are always learning stuff, we do a maths test almost every day and I got 100 out of 100 two out of three times with the other being 99/100. So in conclusion I am really enjoying  the new school, intermediate
